Being on a limited income and having limited appliances for cooking and storing. A small refrigerator and a microwave I have a problem with being able to buy enough food to get me through the month. Manitoba hemp seeds are a great way to get through the month. Used with yogurt, sprinkled over salad, add it to oatmeal after it's cooked or just take a teaspoon and put it in your mouth and let it soak before swallowing it can relieve hunger.
I love the benefits and they are numerous. I originally bought hemp seeds to correct hair loss. After 6 months I noticed I was no longer losing hair and it was growing back stronger and thicker. To my surprise, I am energized and I am in better shape then I have been in years. My arms are looking better now then when I was 20 years old and I’m 50.. I have always had a problem with regularity, this took care of that. I used to get painful backaches..about 1 every couple weeks. I haven’t had one for quite a while. I can’t recommend this enough. My doctor is amazed how improved my balance is.

These are perfect, mostly I want to add that hemp doesn't need to be purchased organically. I researched on a hemp site and found this quote, ""Hemp does not require pesticides: while half the pollutants in the U.S. Today are sprayed on cotton plants, hemp is naturally mildew resistant, requires no pesticides, and maintains a healthy environment for the surrounding streams, air, flora and fauna." I'm very tired of companies charging extra for an unnecessary organic claim which is used to earn them profit.
I've been steadily enhancing my diet over time with more raw foods and higher quality foods. I fell on hemp hearts rather accidentally when I saw them listed in a recipe and did some research. One of the greatest attributes is that hemp hearts comprise a complete protein, meaning they possess all nine essential amino acids in the right ratios necessary to support human life. The second important factor to me was that they also possess the "perfect" ratio of omega 3 and omega 6 fatty acids, which is critical for anti-inflammation. Plus a plethora of other nutrients that made it a great addition to my morning smoothie. So here is the crazy part: Seven years ago, I injured my foot in a way that left the joint in my big toe in constant and severe pain. I went to three different doctors who found nothing and did nothing, aside from advising ibuprofen and injecting the site with cortizone. Frustrated and still in constant pain, I've been icing it ever since and gain temporary relief by doing so. The area of injury has calcified over time, and the joint is noticeably larger than that on the other foot. I had accepted this as injury-related arthritis that was going to be painful every day of my life. The ice helped keep the fire down, but wasn't perfect. I was just glad to have a means of modifying the pain, and continue to work out. Several months ago, the pain vanished completely. I was stunned, but cautious - but the pain has not returned and the joint has actually decreased in size. I racked my brain to analyze what I had changed in my life to cause this welcome and positive change. Ultimately, I realized the addition of the hemp hearts to my diet (2T/day) was the only new factor. The amount is small, but the change is huge, and it is the only material thing in my life that has changed during this period. This is simply amazing to me, and I had to share it, as there must be others who are suffering similar afflictions for which doctors have no answers except drugs. This seems to be a complete and total reversal of this problem, and the interesting part is that I never started the hemp hearts with any objective other than nutrition, so I certainly can't consider this a placebo effect. After experiencing this, I've done more reading, and also learned that “Hemp’s unique fatty acid composition and balance can have significant impact on inflammatory processes and cell membrane activities, which are the foundation of numerous chronic diseases." (LiveStrong) Hemp hearts will be a permanent part of my diet.
